Green Item Drop - Guild Wars Forums

I want to find out about the drops of Unique (Green items).
When do the bosses start dropping these items, I haven's finished a campaign yet but have tried the bosses with unique drops in the areas that I have uncovered a couple of times. Do they only start dropping them after you have finished that campaign? I love the green weapons but just cannot get any such items to drop from the bosses.

You can find lists of who drops what items here: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Green it's quite late in prophesis compared to the other campaigns.

You don't have to finish a campaign, but as I said it's quite late in the prophesis one. Also, they have a quite low drop rate, not impossible-to-get-drop-rate, but quite low.

When I was first going though the game I lusted for green weapons. Now in truth collector weapons are about as good. It is the skills that do damage not the weapons for the most part. Still, you want some greens. You will find most of those in Grenth's Footprint and Sorrow's Furnace. Both are fun places. Run the footprint every day, watch the p key items for sale menu in camp, sometimes an unwanted green is up cheap. Later on, have a shopping list of bosses. Run them every day. Soon you will have some greens. While rare, they do drop. Most of my heroes have a green weapon too. So it can be done. Eventually learn to farm. Farm materials like feathers. Sell those. Use the profits to buy highly desired greens. Some greens in Prophecies like Totem Axes sell for a fair amount and are worth farming for once you have the money to put a farm build together and access to the needed skills.

Yes, the drop rate for WiK minis is extremely low.

In my view most greens bar a few ( often greens from grenths footprint drop quite easily - or used to ) can take a while to drop.
Mostly this is down to luck - ask many of the raptor farmers and they will usually say the claws of broodmother will drop every so many runs - hence to say they are worthless and ive seen many a farmer have probs even giving them away.
In the past ( before sf change ) i used to solo the accolyte of dwayna for the scythe and after 2 hrs of trying i had naff all - but in comparison lulu boss right next to accolyte gave me 3 spears when trying.
But i can also say on a diff chr i ended up going thru the wolf cave in eotn and got the bosses green sword and i was using 7 heros - so its def down to luck.

One thing tho to consider and wilebill said it - some collector weapons are just as good , heck even purple/gold weapons can be just as good if not better - if eotn/nf/zchest golds they can be fully modded to suit your needs
